An A Level in Business can be the starting point to a range of careers – from accountancy to marketing. It’s a highly engaging subject that can lead you to a career in anything from law, accountancy, human resources, marketing or business management, to teaching, politics or journalism.
CONTENT
Business is a dynamic and interesting subject. Throughout this two-year course, you will enhance your commercial awareness and develop a wide range of business related analytical and entrepreneurial skills. You will investigate different types of organisation, identify investment opportunities and evaluate how markets affect business performance. You’ll learn how to understand real-world decision-making processes and critically evaluate the external and internal influences on businesses. Topics you will study include marketing and people, managing business activities, business decisions and strategy and global business.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 48 points across your best eight GCSE subjects (including English and Maths) – equivalent to an average grade of 6 per subject.
- Minimum of Grade 5 in GCSE English and GCSE Maths.
- A minimum of Grade 6 in the subject you wish to study at A Level.
ASSESSMENT
Your work will be assessed by an exam.
