School Liaison
At Christ the King Sixth Forms we value the relationships we have with local schools. We also understand how important it is for you to provide your students with up to date and relevant information on the options available to them after they have completed their Year 11 studies.
To support local schools, we offer several external and onsite outreach activities:
External Outreach Support
Post-16 Events/careers fairs
Please let us know if you are holding a Post-16 Careers Event/Careers Fair for your students/parents as we are always pleased to attend and to discuss with them the different courses we provide.
Parents Evenings
We are also happy to attend Parents Evenings to be available to answer any questions that parents, and students might have.
Master Classes
If you would like your students to sample what a Level 3 lesson is really like we are happy to have one of our specialist Level 3 teachers come into your school and provide a Master Class on any of the courses we provide.
Application Workshops
We know that for many students completing an application form can be a new and daunting experience. If your students need any assistance, we are happy to come in and support them.
Assemblies (Roadshows)
We offer assemblies (Roadshows) throughout the year for both Year 10 and 11 students in which we explain to them their Post-16 options.
Career Advisor Network Meetings (Termly)
We work together with many of the Careers Advisers and Leaders in the local area in order to share best practice and to strengthen our relationships. Please let us know if you are a Careers Adviser or Leader and would like to take part in these termly Careers Adviser Meeting’s.
Onsite Outreach Support
Sixth Form Progression Days
Please let us know if you are interested in having your Year 10 or 11 cohort of students experience a day in the life of a sixth form college. Our Progression Days usually involve a welcome from the Principal, a Q & A session with current students, one or two taster lessons and an interactive Post 16 session.
Open Day/Open Evenings Group Visits
If you would like to bring a group of students to one of our Open Days/Open Evenings we are happy to support you in any way possible.
Careers Advisors Meeting With Students
Our Careers Advisers are available to give advice and guidance throughout the enrolment process to support students in selecting appropriate courses and course combinations in line with their potential longer term career plans.
Please email us at enquiries@ctksfc.ac.uk if you would like to take advantage of any of the support activities presented here. Likewise, please to contact us if there is anything else you think we could support you with.
