Vision & Ethos
CTK Aquinas – a special place to study
As an A-Level Catholic Sixth Form, CTK Aquinas has a distinctive ethos at its heart, helping to prepare you for the future in every way.
While you will be strongly encouraged to embrace the value of qualifications, hard work, effort and academic success, we know that you will need even more than this to be extraordinary and be the best you can be.
That’s why our mission is to ensure you leave us as rounded, thoughtful, caring and confident adults equipped with the skills and attitudes you need to be successful. You will also be ready to make a positive contribution to society.
We want you to have the qualities you need to be discerning and to thrive in the highly competitive world that awaits you.
Our character education programme, The CTK Graces, will help you to develop the traits and attributes of grit, respect, assurance, curiosity, endeavour and self-control.
Our tutorial and pastoral support systems ensure you will be nurtured and valued as an individual.
Underpinned by values of mutual respect and positive encouragement, CTK Aquinas will welcome you whatever your faith. You will take part in a learning programme in which you are invited to consider the personal, spiritual and moral issues you may face ahead.
This distinctive ethos was recognised by Ofsted in its most recent inspection, who noted: ‘The College fosters a spirit of generosity and love’.
