Brigitta Darko
Brigitta Darko is a former Christ the King student, currently studying French, Italian, and Spanish at the University of Manchester. She gave an informative talk to our students covering the various options available for learning Languages at university- from Single to Joint Honours- as well as the many benefits of studying a year abroad, and the exciting career prospects a degree in Modern Languages opens up. She then spoke about the numerous study and assessment methods she has encountered whilst at Manchester, before offering tips and advice about the student experience in general.
Dr Aman Asif Malik
Dr Aman Asif-Malik, Teaching Fellow at the University of Reading, spoke to our students about studying Psychology at university. She outlined the various branches of interest Psychology covers, highlighting engaging studies, before speaking about the many career opportunities a degree in Psychology opens up. She then illuminated the students on what to expect from their university studies, from teaching methods to assessments, and the courses available at the University of Reading and their entry requirements.
Ezra Nash
Ezra Nash, Widening Participation Senior Officer at Queen Mary University London, gave our students a general overview of Apprenticeships- explaining such things as the difference between the various Levels on offer and how the application process differs to a university degree- as well as discussing the competitive Degree Apprenticeships available at QMUL and their entry requirements.
Jonathan Bridges
Jonathan Bridges, from Goldsmiths University, gave an informative talk to our students about studying Psychology at university. He described the many course options available at Goldsmiths for students interested in the subject, as well as outlining the scholarships and bursaries on offer, before inviting on a few Psychology Student Ambassadors to talk about their university experience thus far. He then ended the session with an insightful pre-recorded ‘mini-lecture’ on the Psychology of Art, that was designed to give the students a taste of what could be expected from studying Psychology at a degree level.
Natalie Ryles
Natalie Ryles spoke to our students about the learning opportunities presented by a Degree Apprenticeship, and explained how the application process differs to a university degree. She then spoke about the many benefits of working for an employer whilst also attaining a degree level qualification from a university, before discussing the competitive Degree Apprenticeships available at Queen Mary University of London and their entry requirements.
Sayo Ogundele
Sayo Ogundele is a former Christ the King student who studied Law at the London School of Economics, and is now a lawyer involved in corporate law. He spoke to our students about the importance of strong academic grades in the profession, as well as the many pathways into the industry, encouraging students interested in a career in law to be proactive in their pursuit of relevant knowledge through reading and attending court sessions, before outlining both the benefits and difficulties of a law career by walking us through a few of his responsibilities.
Seni Fawehinmi
Seni Fawehinmi is a former Christ the King student and is now an Assistant Vice-President at Crown Agents Bank, an investment bank that primarily supports large institutions such as the U.N. in investing money into developing countries. He spoke to our Law students about his background and pathway into the profession, having previously studied a BTEC in Travel & Tourism while at CTK, before moving on to the changing nature of the industry and the opportunities this presents to young people today, as well as the qualities aspiring Law students need to nurture in order to excel in the profession.
